World Cup Fever
Do you live and breathe the beautiful game? Have you been waiting for this summer for the last 4 years? Do you still have your wallchart from Brazil 2014? Will this be the year when football finally comes home?
With three games every day during the group stages you can get your fill of football with us – kickoffs at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm mean that we’ll see 5 live games over the weekend including England's match against the mighty Panama to finish our time together on Sunday.
We’re talking Big Screen, Big Sofas and a Big Fridge stocked with all the soft drink and snacks you can stomach. We’re going to stage our own mini World Cup in the mornings too so pack your boots and get ready to represent an adopted nation as you compete for glory!
We’ll also spend some time looking in the Bible at a prize even greater than the world cup itself - the glory that God promises to His followers that lasts forever in His perfect paradise of Heaven.
Our weekend runs at Gaines Manor - Camp XL's fabulous Georgian manor house in the heart of the English countryside on the Worcester/Hereford border.
Sleeping accommodation will be in one of the manor house's several bunk-bedded dorms. The house also has lots of recreational facilities - indoor and out - and several acres of grounds to enjoy.
If coming by train, you'll need to get yourself to either of Worcester's two mainline rail stations: "Worcester Shrub Hill" or "Worcester Foregate Street". Let us know what train you're on, and we'll send one of our team to pick you up for the 10 mile drive out to the countryside where our manor house sits.
